There is a great event centered on social media next week in Dayton and if you haven't registered yet you might want to do so quickly as I think registration closes this Wednesday.
Summit Up: A Social Media Confab is being held next Tuesday October 20th at the Student Union of Wright State University. Wright State is in Fairborn, which is on the northeast side of Dayton off of I-675, so it's only about an hour and 15 minute drive from downtown Cincinnati.
Summit Up is a full-day social media seminar being presented by a team of Dayton organizations including the Dayton AMA, Greater Dayton Advertising Association, PRSA Dayton and others. There will be a couple of great keynote speakers including Chris Brogan (@chrisbogan on Twitter) and author of the new book Change Agents and Bob Garfield (@Bobosphere on Twitter) and author of the new book The Chaos Scenario. Not only do you get to hear these great speakers, but also a copy of their books.
In addition to the keynotes, there will be breakout sessions on various topics led by local speakers including Debba Haupert of Girlfriendology, David Bowman of Lucrum, Steve Phillips of Purple Trout and others.
This should be an extremely informative and fun event, so if you are interested in learning more about and discussing social media and related Internet marketing topics with over 100 other folks, you should be there! I know I'm really looking forward to it.
