    June 7th Cincinnati I-marketing Group Meeting: Social Networking

    The next Cincinnati I-marketing Group meeting is next Thursday June 7th from 5:30 to 7:00 at our regular meeting place of Profitability.net (312 Plum Suite 725) and the topic will be Social Networking Marketing.

    At this meeting we'll go over the some of the main social networking sites such as (MySpace, Facebook & LinkedIn), virtual sites such as Second Life and bookmarking sites (Digg and del.icio.us). We'll review usage stats, key marketing issues and case studies of
    how marketers are developing brand new methods for maketing their products or services in these sites and talk about the possible future trends. Of course we'll also review the latest Internet marketing industry news while we enjoy a beverage and some snacks.

    As always, group meetings are free but I ask that you RSVP to me at robbunting@gmail.com so Ben Baker and I can have a head count. If you have any questions about the group or meeting, please contact me.

    The Cincinnati I-marketing Group Blog: An Overview

    My name is Rob Bunting and I'd like to welcome you to the Cincinnati I-marketing Group blog.  Hey, thanks for stopping by!

    In 2000, I co-founded the Cincinnati I-marketing Group as a networking and discussion group for those of us in the field to come together and talk about issues related to Internet marketing so we could teach each other about what we know and try to keep up with all of the rapid changes and new best practices in the industry.  Back then the group met monthly (we currently meet quarterly) and have about 130 members in our database with about 15-25 people at each meeting. 

    This blog is an extension of those meetings and will feature information and articles on Internet marketing topics written by myself and other Cincinnati-area Internet professionals who are members of my group; from web designers, SEO consultants, podcasting experts, and so on.  My hope is that the blog will educate and entertain the group's members and anyone else who happens to surf in and check out the content while promoting the field of Internet marketing. 

    Please feel free to check out the posts, post comments or contact me (or the other post authors) with questions and engage in the dialogue as we try to keep up with and advance the field of Internet marketing.  If you're in the Cincinnati area and would like to get on our email list and attend a free meeting, please email me.
